Community Frith

All kindreds, groups, and families should have a Frith Keeper appointed in their group to be responsible for their group’s behavior should there be a Frith issue (unfortunately, it has happened before). Disorderly or inappropriate behavior will not tolerated (this is a family event, after all). We are asking you to police yourselves so no one else has to. We will have our own Frith Keepers appointed should there be a problem that needs special attention, such as an outside issue with the general non-heathen community that may be close by or if there is an emergency or medical need. If you are unfamiliar with what constitutes the Frith or its breaking, please feel free to contact us, and we will be happy to discuss it with you so that you are completely informed.

Please supervise your children or have someone you trust assist with their care; ultimately it is your responsibility that they also maintain The Frith.

General Conduct:

Everyone is required to leave their politics at the highway. Do not bring it to the Moot. This is about community growth and kinship. If this is not what you are interested in then do not bother coming.

Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. We should all be able to get along for one weekend a year to better the community. Breaking of the Frith will result in your removal from the event.

Respect standard quiet times. Not everyone is a night owl or an early morning riser. Be considerate. That does not mean no late nights or early mornings; it means that we all need to remember that we are not the only ones out here.

Leave the forest BETTER than you found it. The Southwest Frith Moot Community feels very strongly about the connection with the Land-Vaettir of the areas we occupy. If there is trash already at the site, please just clean it up. Do not expect someone else to do what you can do for yourself.

Do not trample on the creatures that already live there. They are the Land-Vaettir.

Keep your drinking under control. Remember the old wisdom on this one.

All of our behavior is reflected in our reputation in the community. Remember that – because everyone else will.
