Announcing the 15th annual Southwest Frith Moot being held, this year, at the Elks Group Campsite within the gorgeous Coconino National Forest from June 5th – 8th 2025. We hope to once again make this a great heathen community building event for the general southwest and surrounding regions.
This event is open to anyone from anywhere that wishes to attend and geared towards Asatru or Heathen folks in our community and those that would like to learn more about being Heathen.
This is a free event that will have many individual heathens and independent kindreds in attendance and is not being financially sponsored by any national organization. This event is hosted by the Wanderer Kindred of Arizona for the purpose of building a better regional heathen community.
So here is the low down:
As this is a community event, those attending should be willing to work during the campout. Pitching in keeps the event running smoothly and comfortably for everyone. This is also a good Frith-building exercise to get to know your fellow Heathens. Everyone needs to pitch in to keep the site clean and trash under control. We seek specific skills and willingness for first aid, security/frith-keeping, set up and tear down, and children’s activities. Please get in touch with Vince if you would like to volunteer for any of these positions.
This site has a pavilion but any extra shade canopies in the common area is welcomed. If you do not wish to tent camp there is (limited) lodging in Happy Jack, (limited) lodging 20 miles away in Strawberry, and Sedona is 25 miles away but pricey. There is plenty of room for RVs but please let Dani or Vince know if you plan on bringing one. There are no electrical hook-ups, if you require hook-ups there is RV camping at Happy Jack Lodge. Please keep in touch through our Facebook page as we will periodically post camping tips & reminders. We hope to have several seminars, classes, demonstrations, round table discussions, children’s games, and adult activities scheduled that you can read through on the event page. Please contact Vince if you are interested in holding a seminar, class, discussion, etc.
If you are planning to attend, you need to fill out and submit the form found on the registration page. You must include everyone in your group. Contact Vince if you need to add or remove members of your group. The information will be kept confidential and is used to make this as welcoming an event as we can. The more we know about how many adults and kids we have, the better we can plan seminars and games. This information is also very important for meeting special needs of folks that have allergies or health issues that may need to be addressed in case of accident or emergency. We like to be prepared.
